Drone/UAV Job Description

Police drones can be utilized for search and rescue missions, criminal apprehension, search warrants, and felony vehicle stops. Additionally, police use drones to document crime scenes more accurately. Drones can also be crucial in situations where people are lost or missing.

Duties

  • Operate drone during search and rescue, or otherwise authorized missions
  • Have working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Administration and state laws and rules pertaining to drones
  • Research new technology
  • Develops training materials for pilots and visual observers
  • Conduct routine inspections of drones
